  HOW COMMUNITY PARTICIPATION IN RESEARCH STUDIES LEADS TO IMPROVEMENTS IN COMMUNITY HEALTH

 

At these Roundtables you will:

· Learn about recent medical advancements made possible by research   involving the community

· Learn how minority participation in research studies can help reduce health disparities

· Have the opportunity to talk with researchers about research related    issues important to the community

 

Romnee Clark, M.D.

Associate Professor of Clinical Medicine, IU School of Medicine

“Breakthroughs in Cancer Therapy:

The Essential Role of the Community”

Dr. Clark is an oncologist at the IU Simon Cancer Center and Wishard Hospital and a passionate advocate of community outreach for increasing participation in clinical research studies. She has held positions at Eli Lilly and Washington University School of Medicine and is currently an Associate Professor of Clinical Medicine at the IU School of Medicine.
